Anyway- this past Sunday we brought home 30 baby ducks. The picture is what they will look like when they’re older. They are Muscovy or (as wikipedia tells me) they are also known as barbary ducks.
But what’s so great about them is that they don’t quack. Instead they make a hissing noise, but only when they get older. Right now they’re still making a “peep peep” sort of noise.
This is the first time we’ve ever had ducks so we’re trying to adapt to their needs. The heat yesterday was not doing them any good, but with lots of fans and water they made it through.
