A CSA member recently informed me that this Saturday is the kickoff week for the Localvore challenge! It’s all about eating products that are produced within 100 miles of Lansing… Sounds hard, but actually Michigan is 2nd only to California in the diversity of products we produce!

“The Localvore Challenge is an event which encourages participants to pledge to eat only locally grown and produced foods for a week, a day or a meal. We want to help people learn how to be a localvore year round and to give them resources to make it easier.”
