Sorry to say that the tour has been CANCELED due to excessive amounts of rain (remnants of Ike are coming our way too). We’re not afraid of people getting wet on Sunday, instead it’s the stability of the soil that we’re doubting. Even with the small amount of rain we received today, the “parking lot” (really just a field) is very mushy and we don’t want anyone getting stuck in the mud. Not to mention the room we have the tasting in is a little flooded at the moment, and if we receive anymore rain it won’t be fun to walk around knee-deep in mud, and we definitely wouldn’t be able to give hay rides.
We hope this hasn’t inconvenienced anyone, we thought it was going to rain, but not this much (meteorologists are predicting 3 inches plus altogether)! The reschedule is for Sunday, September 21 from 4-7. And at CSA I’ll have fliers for you to take home as a reminder. Please spread the word if you know people who are planning to come, but aren’t necessarily on our emailing list.
Since we have a little more time before the tour, let us know if you have any suggestions for events or activities, especially if you think you can volunteer.
