Well it’s not quite spring yet, especially since the local meteorologist is predicting a nasty cold snap. However, you wouldn’t know it when you step into the greenhouse. Little plants are popping up everywhere and are looking good. Our beekeeper also just brought out two new hives of healthy bees. So with the winter rye showing its green leaves and the bees happily buzzing it almost feels like spring.
If you’re a really avid gardener, now is the time to start some of your warm season plants inside the house, so they’ll be ready to plant out by Memorial Day. If you’re not, then come to the farmers market in about a month to get the best selection.
And if you don’t want to put up with gardening at all- then join our CSA! (www.titusfarms.com/CSA). We still have a few spots available, and if you’re a returning member please remember that you’re application is still due by APRIL 15! This is a month earlier than usual (but it helps us plan our production better). We’re especially looking for people in our local area (Leslie, Dansville and Mason)! Thanks!
